HURLEY AUSTRALIAN BOWL RIDING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Last Saturday the 28th of January, Hurley and Mountain Dew put over $20,000 in prize money towards the Australian Bowl Riding Champions at Bar Beach Bowl at Empire skatepark in Newcastle.

The competition consisted of four divisions, Juniors U18′s, open female, a Pro / Am open and a masters 40+. The competition level was fierce and the skateboarding was world class. The comp was also used as a qualifier for the upcoming legendary Vans Bowlarama at Bondi on the 25th February.

The finals in each division were tight and jam packed with fast and consistent skateboarding. Each divisions finalist’s ended up only being separated by a couple of points. It was a good day had by all. Cheers to Hurley and all involved for putting on a killer day.
