Had the chance of meeting this young lady when we were over in Melbourne launching the third edition and running the One x One x One exhibition. Very, very talented, with some fine colour choices too I might add. Rena’s got here solo show on Friday Night at Egg Gallery in Johnson St, Collingwood, going on 6pm till 9pm. The good folks at Rabbit & Cocoon have been busting their balls for quite some time now, trying to get the Gold Coast a bit more noticed with the whole art scene. Miami Marketta is something they have been running since I can remember, and every event seems to just get bigger and better. The next Miami Marketta comes up February 10, followed by another on March 9, and then again on April 13. If you’re on the Gold Coast, and looking for something to do, this should be first on your list of activities.

Michael Bennett has a brand new show coming up this Saturday. Basically, if you’re looking for a good night, with some damn fresh art, tender loving chicken, and pretty ladies – this is the place to be on Saturday Night.
Whale of a Time is looking to be a pretty damn fun night, hosted by none other than Neverland Bar. It’s a Sea Sheperd Fund Raiser Event, with live acts by Underwood Mayne, Karl Williams, Silas and Season. There’s also a surfboard auction, some giveaways, and an art show.
